Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old girl suffering from a fever died after being treated by an unqualified medical practitioner in his clinic in the Suryapet district, who allegedly administered her injections and saline solutions. This incident has prompted the Telangana State Medical Council (TGMC) to take suo motu cognizance of the issue.
The council has directed its Legal and Anti-Quackery Committee to conduct an inquiry and asked them to submit a report soon for further action. An FIR will be lodged based on the findings of the inquiry.
The incident came to light on Saturday but had happened a week ago in Enakunta Thanda in the Suryapet district. The girl who was ill with a fever for two days was brought to the fake doctor's clinic for treatment. After checking her condition, the quack gave her two injections and a saline solution. Following this, the girl complained of severe stomach pain and vomiting. Shortly after, she passed away.
