Jabalpur: Chaos broke out at Ayushman Children's Hospital in Jabalpur after doctors kept and allegedly treated a dead 11-month-old infant to receive hefty payments from the family.
Accusing the doctors of negligence in treatment, the relatives created a ruckus and ransacked the hospital. After getting the information, the police reached the spot and explained to both parties, but the relatives remained adamant about demanding action against the doctors of the hospital.

Even though the child died during treatment, he was still receiving fake treatment at that time, which was not disclosed to his parents.
According to a media report in India Today, a family from Madhya Pradesh's Mandla had reached the hospital for treatment of their 11-month-old child. According to family members, the child was suffering from diarrhoea and fever.
Following this, the child was admitted to the hospital and the doctors began the treatment. However, the child did not survive and died during the treatment. The fact that the child died and the matter was not disclosed to the family members created a ruckus at the hospital.
His parents, who became impatient after their child was not recovering, asked the hospital to discharge him, saying they would like to take the infant to some other medical facility. This is when the authorities suddenly declared that the baby had died.
In response to this, the family members ransacked the hospital in rage and alleged that the doctors of the hospital were negligent in the treatment, due to which their child died. The relatives have alleged that even after the death of the child, the doctors of the hospital kept pretending to treat and kept asking for medicines worth thousands of rupees.
In view of the anger of the family members and the increasing crowd, the police took the front and gave assurance to the family members and assured them of appropriate action.
A complaint has been filed by the family members against the doctors at the hospital and the Jabalpur's Omti Police is currently investigating the case.
