2 doctors at Kanpur Medical College terminated for being absent from duty

Kanpur: In a decisive move to uphold discipline and ensure high-quality care for patients, two faculty members of GSVM Medical College in Kanpur have been dismissed for repeatedly staying absent from their duties. The decision was made in accordance with the directive of Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak.
This move is expected to send a strong message to other medical professionals in the state about the importance of adhering to professional conduct and the consequences of neglecting their duties.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Pathak said, “Disciplinary violations will not be tolerated. Providing high-quality treatment to patients is our top priority.”
The dismissed individuals include a lecturer who has been with the college since 2014 and an assistant professor in the neurosurgery department. Both were found to have violated the institution's attendance policies.
