28-year-old doctor commits suicide at her residence in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: In an unfortunate incident, a 28-year-old woman doctor working at a private hospital allegedly committed suicide at her residence at Penamaluru in Krishna district on Tuesday.
Following this, a case has been registered at the police station and an investigation is underway. No suicide note was recovered by the police.
It is believed that she was concerned about not being able to continue her higher education since she failed to secure a seat in the master's degree course, and went into depression. As a result, she committed suicide.

The deceased was working as a doctor at a private hospital in Penamaluru.
While enquiring about her, the locals informed TH, “She was working in a private hospital in Vijayawada and appeared for PG entrance. As she could not get a seat in PG, Amrapali, went into depression and resorted to the extreme step."
Speaking to The Daily, Gannavaram Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), R.G. Jayasurya said, "We have registered a case under Section 174 CrPc (Suspicious death). The body was shifted to the Government Hospital for post-mortem. A detailed investigation is on."
