415 Community Health Officers appointed in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: In a bid to boost primary healthcare services in rural areas, the National Health Mission (NHM) has appointed over 400 Community Health Officers (CHOs) in high-priority and aspirational districts.
A total of 415 CHOs have been posted in districts, including Sidhi, Singrauli, Tikamgarh, Dindori, Panna, and Chhatarpur.
The appointments are currently subject to record verification at the office of the Chief Medical and Health Officer of the respective districts, after which the final appointment orders will be issued.
Community health officers will primarily be posted at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, where comprehensive health services are delivered through 12 specialized health packages. These packages encompass pregnancy care, child and adolescent health, management of both communicable and non-communicable diseases, mental health support, elderly healthcare, oral and dental diseases, eye care, ENT (ear, nose, throat) diseases, and emergency medical services.

Officials of the National Health Mission, Madhya Pradesh, said that the shortlisted candidates for the certificate course in community health were asked to select the option for posting place through MP Online, and as many as 415 community health officers had been posted in Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, reports Free Press Journal.
