The special event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Hon'ble Minister of Health & Family Welfare, GoI, in the presence of Shri Pashupati Kumar Paras, Hon'ble Minister of Food Processing Industries, GoI, and Mrs. Meenakshi Lekhi, Hon'ble Minister of State of External Affairs, GoI who were the Guest of Honour.

In the inaugural address, the Hon'ble Health Minister lauded the contribution of Medical Practitioners to the development of the country and appreciated the role of the Indian Medical Association in guiding the entire Medical Community and the general public. The Minister of Health recalled the role of the doctors during the COVID pandemic wherein the entire Medical Practitioners worked in War Footing on a call given by our beloved Prime Minister.

On this auspicious occasion, the Hon'ble Minister of Health appreciated the role of the Indian Medical Association in working closely with the Government and for playing a positive role in bringing up improvement in the Healthcare sector in the country.

The event was also addressed by Shri Pashupati Kumar Paras, Hon'ble Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, and Mrs. Meenakshi Lekhi, Hon'ble Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture of India, Government of India who shared their experience with the doctors during the sickness of their close associates.

Dr. Vedprakash Mishra, Dean of Academic & Accreditation Board, IMA in his keynote address elaborated on the role of the doctor as a Teacher and Healer.
