Absent from duty: Four PG Medical officers get show cause notice at JP Hospital
The show-cause notice read, "PG medical officers should be on duty for 24 hours in SNCU, but it is often seen that medical officers leave the duty without a reliever coming. On October 14, no doctor was on duty in the duty from 08:00 am to 02:00 pm. Similarly, on October 19, the doctors on night duty did not come till 09:00 pm."
Bhopal: Four postgraduate (PG) medical officers working at the Jai Prakash (JP) District Hospital have been served with show-cause notices warning them to terminate their services for neglecting their duties and remaining absent.
The notice, issued by the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Dr Prabhakar Tiwari, states that the doctors were not present for their duty at the Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU). Further, it was reported that they never came on time and left before relievers.

The doctors have been warned of being terminated from their services. The medical officers are required to give their replies through the hospital, said the CMHO, Dr Prabhakar Tiwari.

The report observed that the absence of doctors and their non-availability on time is a recurring issue. The doctors were found to be absent from work before the reliever arrived at Special New Born Care Unit, reports the Free Press Journal. The CMHO decided to issue the notice after receiving repeated complaints about them.
Further, it was reported that no data entries about babies weighing less than 1.5 kg grams at SNCU has been reported in September and the children weighing less than 1.5kgs are admitted to SNCU.
The notice was issued to Dr Dolly Gupta, Dr Sunil Arya, Dr Satish Maravi, and Dr Om Prajapati, PGMOs (PG Medical Officers) of JP Hospital.
