Renowned Pathologist Dr B. Krishnamoorthy Dies Suddenly in Nellore

Nellore: Nellore is mourning the sudden passing of Dr B. Krishnamoorthy, a government doctor and Associate Professor of Pathology at ACSR Government Medical College. He suffered a cardiac arrest on Monday evening and was declared dead after being rushed to KIMS Hospital. His untimely death has left the medical community in deep shock. 

Dr B. Krishnamoorthy reportedly collapsed at the entrance of his residence while preparing to leave for his clinic. Family members immediately rushed him to the hospital, but doctors could not revive him. He is survived by his wife and daughter.

He was a respected government doctor with over a decade of experience in pathology. He completed his MBBS and MD in Pathology and served in various cities across India. He was widely known for his accuracy in diagnosis. 

Dr B. Krishnamoorthy contributed to handling several complex medical cases in different hospitals and was recognized for his clinical skills and commitment to patients. He also participated in research work, academic workshops, and published multiple papers in his field.

Known for his humility and approachable nature, Dr Krishnamoorthy served at the Nellore Police Welfare Hospital for nearly a decade, offering free medical care to police personnel and their families, reports Deccan Chronicle.

A strong advocate for voluntary blood donation, Dr Krishnamoorthy played a pivotal role in developing the government hospital’s blood bank. As its convener, he led numerous initiatives to raise awareness and encourage community participation, earning multiple accolades for his efforts.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, his leadership and dedicated service were widely appreciated for supporting both patients and healthcare teams on the front lines. His passing has been widely mourned, with tributes pouring in from the medical community, highlighting his decades of service and commitment to public healthcare.
