Associate Professor at MGM Medical College Dr Kaushik Bhattacharya conferred with IMA National Best Medical Teacher award

Kishanganj: , Dr Kaushik Bhattacharya from Siliguri was recently bestowed with the prestigious National Best Medical Teacher award by the Indian Medical Association Headquarters in New Delhi.

Dr Kaushik Bhattacharya is an Associate Professor of the Department of Surgery at Mata Gujri Memorial Medical College Kishanganj in Bihar and taking classes and clinics for postgraduate students.

He is also a Member of the Editorial Board of the Indian Journal of Surgery and has more than 170 research publications in various International and National medical journals. He was previously awarded Best Researcher Award by the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons in 2022.

During COVID-19, he has published extensively on surgical management of Covid related patients and 8 of his publications are considered as global literature and features in the website of the World Health Organisation.

The local branch of Indian Medical Association Siliguri have expressed their joy on this award being given to a surgeon from North Bengal and the President Dr Moloy Chakraborty and Secretary Dr Radheshyam Mahato feels it's an major achievement for the medical fraternity of Siliguri.

The award was bestowed upon Dr Kaushik Bhattacharya at the Indian Medical Association Headquarters on 18th of November during a ceremony by the National President of IMA Dr Sharad Agrawal.
