Police Probe Threats Against Woman Doctor
Bikaner: In a shocking extortion case, a renowned paediatrician in Bikaner received death threats from a gang that visited his clinic and demanded a one-time payment of Rs 25 lakh and an additional Rs 1 lakh per month for protecting the doctor. The gang warned of serious consequences if the doctor failed to comply.
Using video and audio recordings from CCTV cameras that captured the accused making the threats as vital evidence, the doctor filed a complaint at the police station. Based on the complaint, the police registered an FIR against the accused gang under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

In response to the threat, a group of local doctors met Bikaner Superintendent of Police Kavendra Singh Sagar on Monday. They urged quick action against the culprits to ensure the safety of doctors in the city. The SP has asked SHO Vikram Tiwari to conduct a thorough probe.
According to a recent media report by Digpu, the incident occurred in the early hours of July 24, around 1:45 AM, when the accused, identified as Vishnu Saadh, Abhishek Panwar, and others, came to Dr. Shyam Agrawal’s clinic near Jassusar Gate.
