Bikaner: In a shocking extortion case, a renowned paediatrician in Bikaner received death threats from a gang that visited his clinic and demanded a one-time payment of Rs 25 lakh and an additional Rs 1 lakh per month for protecting the doctor. The gang warned of serious consequences if the doctor failed to comply.

Using video and audio recordings from CCTV cameras that captured the accused making the threats as vital evidence, the doctor filed a complaint at the police station. Based on the complaint, the police registered an FIR against the accused gang under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
