Chennai: During a workout session at a nearby gym, a 24-year-old female doctor suffered a cardiac arrest, resulting in a tragic loss for the medical community.

The doctor was identified as Anvita who recently graduated from Government Medical College Hospital, Kilpakkam in Chennai. After completing her MBBS, she was practising at a private hospital. In addition, she was the daughter of a famous ophthalmologist.

The incident occurred after Dr Anvita was getting ready for her workout session at a private fitness centre on New Avadi Road, Kilpakkam, with the goal of losing weight. After arriving at the gym at 7.30 pm, she began her warm-up routine. Unexpectedly, she suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed.

Following this, the gym staff reacted quickly to the situation and assisted Anvita, taking her to a nearby private hospital. After being examined by medical experts, it was concluded that Anvita had suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away, Newsnine reports.

According to sources, Dr Anvita received medical attention from a physician who happened to be at the gym at the same time before she was taken to the hospital.

The passing of this young and devoted doctor has brought sorrow to her family, friends, and the medical community, who were deeply shocked by the news.

Although the cause behind her sudden heart attack is unclear, there are emerging speculations that the doctor died of a heart attack due to the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic vaccinations. This speculation has been gaining momentum with the rising cases of cardiac arrest especially in the young after the pandemic

Medical Dialogues team had reported recently that an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) peer-reviewed study ruled out any link between COVID-19 vaccination and the cases of sudden cardiac arrests in the country.

The study, published in the Indian Journal of Medical Research noted that family history of sudden deaths, post-COVID-19 hospitalisation, intense unaccustomed activity, etc and not COVID-19 vaccines are the contributing factors to an increased risk of sudden deaths among young adults.
