Delhi doctor, others arrested for honey trapping, abducting UP BAMS student

Lucknow: A Delhi-based doctor and three of his complices have been arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UPSTF) for kidnapping a Bachelor of Ayurveda Medical & Surgery (BAMS) student from Uttar Pradesh for Rs 70 lakh ransom.
The STF recovered 21-year-old Gaurav Haldar, who was kidnapped from Gonda on January 19 after arresting three kidnappers including a doctor following a brief encounter in Greater Noida on Thursday night.
The arrested persons have been identified as Dr Singh, Nitesh, and Mohit.
STF was also investigating the role of a lady doctor who honey-trapped Gaurav, which led to his kidnapping.
The additional director general of police, STF Amitabh Yash who led the probe said here on Friday that victim Gaurav was pursuing a Bachelor of Ayurveda Medical & Surgery (BAMS) and was honey-trapped by a lady doctor who was a friend of Dr Singh.
