Doctor, PG medico hit 2 delivery executives with car; 1 dead

The incident took place around 2:45 a.m. on Monday when the jeep, driven by Vishnu, a doctor at a cooperative hospital in Kottarakara, and Athul, a postgraduate student at Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College, is reported to have veered off course and crashed into the motorcycle. The vehicle was registered under Athul’s mother’s name.

As per The Hindu news report, two person were riding the motorcycle before it met with an unfortunate accident. The deceased has been identified as Shiram and his injured friend identified as Shanu. Both of them are residents of Parassala who were working as food delivery executives.

Following the accident, both were they were rushed to Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College Hospital, where Sriram succumbed to his injuries at 11:45 a.m. and Shanu remains in critical condition.

Later, the Thumba police registered a case against the two doctors under the BNS section and arrested them. They are currently in police custody. An investigation in this regard is underway.
