Doctor, PG medico hit 2 delivery executives with car; 1 dead
Thiruvananthapuram: In a tragic incident, a doctor and a postgraduate student, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, were involved in a car accident on the National Highway-66 bypass at Akkulam, where their speeding jeep crashed into a motorcycle, killing a 26-year-old delivery executive and leaving another critically injured. The accused duo have been arrested in connection.
While the 26-year-old delivery executive succumbed to his grievous injuries at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital, the other delivery executive remained in critical condition.

The incident took place around 2:45 a.m. on Monday when the jeep, driven by Vishnu, a doctor at a cooperative hospital in Kottarakara, and Athul, a postgraduate student at Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College, is reported to have veered off course and crashed into the motorcycle. The vehicle was registered under Athul’s mother’s name.
