Dr Vatsala Aggarwal takes charge as new Director General DGHS Delhi

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the Department of Health and Family Welfare has announced the appointment of Dr Vatsala Aggarwal as the new Director General of Health Services (DGHS) Delhi with immediate effect.
An order approved by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi on August 19 in this regard mentioned that Dr. Aggarwal has been relieved from her existing responsibilities with direction to take charge of her new role without waiting for formal relieving orders from her previous postings.
Before this appointment, Dr. Aggarwal served as the Chief Medical Officer (SAG) at Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital.

A senior bureaucrat in Delhi’s health administration, she had earlier worked as director and medical superintendent in government hospitals. She has served as Director of Janakpuri Super Speciality Hospital and was additionally given charge as Director of the Delhi State Cancer Institute, reports TNIE.
