Female Patient Accuses Doctor of Molestation, Death Threat; FIR Filed
Lucknow: A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against a doctor following allegations from a female patient who accused him of molestation during her visit to his private clinic located in the Dubagga Malaha area of Lucknow. The patient also claimed that the doctor threatened her with death if she revealed the incident to anyone.
According to the complainant, the incident took place around 8 p.m. when she went to the clinic seeking treatment for a fever. After she entered the clinic for consultation, she noticed that only the doctor was present at the clinic.

As per her statements, the doctor while checking her pulse allegedly touched her inappropriately. When she protested, the doctor reportedly threatened her with death. Acting immediately in the situation, the woman alleged that she managed to raise an alarm. This prompted the doctor to let her leave for fear that people might gather.
Upon reaching home, she informed her family and later filed a complaint at the Dubagga police station. In response, the police registered a case under molestation charges and launched an investigation.
Speaking about the matter in detail, a Dubagga police inspector Abhinav Verma told TOI, "On the complaint of the woman, a case was registered against the doctor under charges of molestation. The accused runs a clinic in a shop in the village. The clinic has been closed since the incident."
"It was being ascertained whether the degree of the doctor was genuine. Also, the woman's statement is to be recorded before a magistrate. Further action will be taken based on evidence related to the incident," he added.
