First paediatrician of Kundapur, Dr Venkatraj passes away at age of 67

Kundapur: The first pediatrician of Kundapur, Dr Venkatraj has recently passed away at the age of 67 after a brief sickness. 

He was suffering from heart disease and was hospitalized at a private hospital in Bengaluru but couldn't survive long. 

He was popularly known for his humble and caring behaviour towards the patients. Over the last three decades, he had served patients at his Swathi clinic in Kundapur city.

The sudden death of Dr Venkatraj shocked his patients and his family members gravely. He has left behind his father Thimmappayya Karanth, wife Rajeshwari, son Urologist Dr Kishan Raj, daughter Asha Jyothi, daughter in law, gynaecologist Dr Rajani and other family members, Daijiworld reports

Born in Uppunda, he completed PUC at the Bhandarkar college and MBBS and DCH at the Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and started his career as a paediatrician.
