Former AIIMS Raipur Director, Dr Nitin M Nagarkar appointed as Dean of SRM Medical College Hospital
Chennai: Dr Nitin Madhusudan Nagarkar, a former director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur, has taken charge as the dean of SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre in Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu.
Dr Nagarkar completed his MBBS degree from Patna University in 1987. He further honed his expertise by completing his MS (ENT) from the prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh and obtaining a DNB (ENT) from the esteemed National Board of Examinations in New Delhi in 1992 and 1993, respectively. Dr Nitin Madhusudan Nagarkar has more than 30 years of experience in the medical field.
He served as director of AIIMS Raipur for 11 years and also held additional charge of AIIMS Bhopal. He is a skilled ENT, head and neck surgeon with a focus on oncosurgery. Dr Nagarkar has authored more than 100 scholarly articles, shedding light on various aspects of ENT and oncosurgery.
Some of his notable publications include a study on "Bilateral Otogenic Temporal Lobe and Post Aural Abscesses" in The Journal of Laryngology & Otology (March 1997)and "Surgical Management of Bilateral Immobile Vocal Folds and Long-Term Follow-up" in The Journal of Laryngology and Otology (May 1997).
