Gauhati Medical College Shocker: Fake Doctor caught practicing as Assistant Professor Neurosurgery
Guwahati: The Guwahati Police arrested a man impersonating as a doctor practicing as an assistant professor in the Neurosurgery department of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) using a forged identity card.
The man used a fake identity card that mentioned him as a doctor practicing at the GMCH. It has been reported that he forged official documents in the name of Dr. Pranabjyoti Das in addition to the forged identity card to take up a fake identity.

The GMCH hospital authorities caught the impersonator and handed him over to police officials, reports the Pratidin Times. The fake identification documents listed him as an assistant professor at the institute who worked in the neurosurgery department.
He was caught red-handed while treating some patients at a ward in the hospital. According to the hospital authorities, the fake ID card stated that it was issued in 2015 and it stated that he worked in the neurosurgery department. They stated that the official signature on the ID card did not belong to any top issuing officials of GMCH. The card did not have an official signature as well, reported the officials.
