Hamirpur: Dr Riya Thakur selected for Army Medical Corps

Hamirpur: Indian Army Medical Corps (AMC) has selected Dr. Riya Singh Thakur as one of the 20 doctors selected for the AMC 2022. After a long hard working process, Dr. Riya proved herself and became an inspiration for many. 

Dr. Riya, a resident of Sungarbad village in Bhoranj of the district completed her school education at the local DAV Public School, and in 2021 she completed her MBBS from the IGMC, Shimla.

The Army Medical Corps is amongst one of the best options available to medical graduates of our country where there is an opportune professional environment of an exceptional order blended with a high degree of professionalism, dignity, and self-esteem.

As per The Tribune information, Dr. Riya has been posted at the Army Hospital at Yol, near Dharamsala, and would join her first day soon.

In the AMC selection test that was conducted this year, Dr. Riya passed with flying colors and gave all her credit to her parents and teachers by thanking them for being by her side and supporting her during the preparation for the test.

Dr. Riya comes from a prestigious background where her father NP Singh is a chief engineer of the Public Works Department, her mother Poonam Singh is a homemaker and her brother Raghav Singh, who is currently pursuing engineering at the National Institute of Technology. When asked about his future plan, he said that he would too try to join the Army Engineering Services and serve the country.
