Hyderabad doctor dies, another critical after speeding SUV collides with truck
Hyderabad: A tragic road accident on the outskirts of Hyderabad claimed the life of a house surgeon and left another doctor grievously injured after their speeding SUV car lost control and crashed into a truck while they were returning from a party.
The accident caused severe and extensive damage to the front part of the SUV, completely crushing it and causing the tyres to come off the vehicle. While the house surgeon died on the spot, his female colleague sustained serious injuries.

Both of them were working at Kamineni Hospital in LB Nagar. The deceased has been identified as Dr. Jashwanth from Bachupally and the injured was identified as Dr Bhumika, also a house surgeon from LB Nagar.
The incident took place around 4.30 am on Saturday when they were reportedly returning to Hyderabad after attending a function in Janwada. Dr Jashwanth who was driving the car lost control on reaching Khanapur and allegedly crashed into a track.
Locals who witnessed the accident immediately alerted the police. After reaching the spot, the police rushed Dr Bhumika to a nearby hospital in critical condition and shifted Dr Jashwanth's body to Osmania General Hospital for a postmortem examination.
Following this, a case was registered by the police based on Bhumika's complaint. She is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
Speaking to Siasat Daily Narsingi police said, “It is a case of accident where the driver lost control and rammed into the truck. A case has been registered under section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nayaya Sanahita (BNS).”
