Illegal Clinic Sealed in Zirakpur’s Kishanpura Area
Zirakpur: An illegal clinic operating in the Kishanpura area of Dhakoli was sealed on Wednesday after a joint raid by health officials and police uncovered that it was being run by an unqualified medical practitioner.
According to the news reports, the facility, operating under the name Shiwani Clinic, was found to be run by an unqualified individual who was caught treating a patient without any valid medical license. The raid, which took place around 11:30 a.m., was carried out following a formal complaint submitted to the health department. It was led by Dr Rakesh Kumar (Medical Officer), Drug Inspector Dr JJ Singh, and officers from the local police station.

“We found a man who identified himself as Dr Ranjan treating a female patient. However, he failed to produce any valid medical degree or registration when asked,” Dr Kumar added, reports Hindustan Times.
The alleged practitioner attempted to defend his presence by claiming that licensed doctors visited the clinic, but failed to provide any supporting documents, names, or contact details to substantiate the claim.
Authorities also discovered a stock of medicines on-site, none of which could be accounted for with proper documentation. The seized drugs were destroyed on the spot, and the clinic was officially sealed.
The health department issued a stern warning against illegal medical practices and urged the public to report any unauthorized clinics or practitioners to the authorities. Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
