The doctor also reportedly assaulted the girl's parents when they objected to the expired vaccination and threatened them with dire consequences.
Based on the complaint of the parents, the police registered an FIR against the doctor for negligence and assault on the complaint of the girl’s father.

As per a TOI news report, the incident took place on Monday late at night when the parents took their daughter to the private hospital for a regular vaccination. After depositing the fee at the reception, the doctor proceeded with the vaccination. After the vaccination was done, the girl's father noticed that the vaccine wrapper pasted on the baby’s file carried an expiry date of May 2025.
When the couple objected to the use of an expired drug, the doctor allegedly snatched the file and attempted to tamper with the evidence. He reportedly took out the expiry date wrapper from the vaccination file and pasted another, as reported by Free Press Journal.
The couple, in their complaint, alleged that the doctor, along with his staff, pushed and assaulted them and even threatened them with dire consequences. Later, the doctor asked the couple to drop the matter; in exchange, he would offer them money and refund the vaccine cost, but they refused and went to the police.
The couple filed a complaint against the doctor, and based on it, the police registered a case under section 125, 125 (1), 115, 296, 351. An investigation is underway in this regard.
The daughter's father told FPJ, "I have always wanted a daughter, and after eight long years of prayers and sacred wishes, my daughter was born. I was concerned that she might face complications; therefore, I chose a private hospital instead of a government hospital, believing she would receive better treatment and facilities there."
He said, "The baby was crying constantly and was also lethargic. We were worried. My wife and I couldn't sleep all night, worried about potential side effects. We took her for a medical checkup by another doctor, and as of now, she seems to be okay."
