The accused doctor has been untraceable for the past two days, with his mobile phone reportedly switched off. Notices issued to him by the police have not been complied with so far.
Based on preliminary inputs, police suspect that the doctor may have fled to the neighbouring state of Uttarakhand. In this regard, Uttar Pradesh Police have contacted their counterparts in Uttarakhand to trace his possible movements.

Despite repeated attempts, even KGMU’s Internal Committee for Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace has failed to establish contact with the accused.
As part of the ongoing investigation, police have also questioned the wife of the accused doctor to ascertain whether she was allegedly forced to convert her religion before marriage.
The university’s inquiry team is now verifying the academic and personal background of the accused, including his period as an MBBS student at Agra Medical College. Authorities are also probing claims that the doctor had entered into two marriages even before the present allegations came to light.
According to TOI sources, the accused reportedly married a batchmate in February this year after she allegedly converted her religion. Investigators have contacted the woman, and her statement is expected to be recorded soon to determine whether the conversion was voluntary or forced.
Medical Dialogues had reported that the King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, administration suspended the accused doctor and barred him from entering the campus, allowing access only for inquiry proceedings.
A First Information Report (FIR) has also been registered against the accused based on a complaint filed by the woman doctor’s father. He had earlier raised the issue on the Chief Minister’s public grievance portal and with the Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission.
On Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called the female doctor in the evening and inquired about the incident. The doctor reportedly told the CM that the accused was forming a gang at KGMU and was carrying out religious conversions.
The doctor stated that she is a Hindu and alleged that her male colleague, who belongs to the Muslim community, emotionally exploited her and pressured her to convert to Islam to marry him. She claimed that after she refused, he continued to harass her, which pushed her into severe mental distress and led to her suicide attempt.
On December 27, she allegedly attempted suicide by consuming a large quantity of medicines inside her hostel room at KGMU. She was immediately rushed to the Trauma Centre and later shifted to the fifth floor of the Critical Care Management (CCM) ICU for advanced treatment.
