The woman, who used to stay at a rented house on Puthiya Road in Kadavanthra, got acquainted with the doctor online and invited him to her place. As per a media report in OnManorama, the doctor was asked there to provide treatment to Naseema. Amin pretended to be an auto driver assisting the doctor.

The duo reportedly took videos of the doctor and the women and began blackmailing the doctor using it. He was asked to pay Rs 45000 through Google Pay there. They also took away his car keys and demanded another Rs 5 lakh from him a few days later.

Following more threats and continued demands for money, the doctor filed a complaint with the police. A senior police officer said, "We have got details of the money transfer and how the accused spent it. We have also recovered the videos shot by the man on his phone. A cyber expert will examine the videos so that they can be treated as evidence."

The duo reportedly confessed the entire situation, reports the Times of India. The accused reportedly shared the money they received from the doctor equally among themselves.

Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported about another extortion case from Bihar where a doctor from Motihari town of Bihar was asked to give Rs 2 crore, threatening to kill him and his family members if the demands were not met in a couple of days. The extortionists said that they would kill him and his family if he failed to pay the demanded money within specific days.
