As the head of the Army Medical Services, Lt Gen Muralidharan will focus on ensuring holistic medical care for serving personnel, veterans and their dependents. Strengthening the medical preparedness of forward medical establishments in the context of evolving security challenges, technological advancements, and the changing character of modern warfare will be among his key priorities, the PIB stated.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that, through a recent notice, the Department of Health and Family Welfare has announced the appointment of Dr Vatsala Aggarwal as the new Director General of Health Services (DGHS) Delhi with immediate effect. An order approved by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi on August 19 in this regard mentioned that Dr. Aggarwal has been relieved from her existing responsibilities with direction to take charge of her new role without waiting for formal relieving orders from her previous postings.
