Lucknow: Case filed under Labour Act against a private medical facility allegedly offered money to laborers and forced them to undergo illegal treatment in order to gain recognition to run a medical college. As per an official, the institute provided fake treatment to the laborers.
It was claimed by the team of CMO that the daily wagers were treated illegally despite not having any sign of illness.
The Thakurganj police team and nearby police stations arrested Dr. Shekhar Saxena, the administrative head of the institute on spot on Tuesday and rescued some daily wagers who were forcefully put under treatment at the affiliated hospital.

Chiranjeev Nath Sinha, additional DCP (West) told The Hindustan Times "A separate case has been lodged by the labor department under different sections of the Labour Act. Statements of five laborers have been recorded before the court of a judicial magistrate today."
