On Monday, DYCM Pathak suspended Dr Rajendra, Chief Medical Superintendent of District Hospital, Kanpur Dehat, after a probe was ordered based on a complaint received for laxity in duty against the doctor. The doctor was found guilty of dereliction of duty which caused trouble to patients coming to the hospital. As a result, he has been suspended with immediate effect and attached to the health and family welfare directorate in Lucknow.

"Laxity in duty will not be tolerated at any level. Whether a doctor, employee, or administrative official, all shall face action if they do not perform. Patients should be given attention and benefit from all schemes," said Pathak.

"In view of the negligence in administrative work and laxity in supervisory responsibilities, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Gupta, Chief Medical Superintendent of District Hospital, Kanpur Dehat, has been suspended with immediate effect and attached to the Directorate of Family Welfare," Pathak tweeted on Monday.

On the other hand, DY CM ordered for suspension of two doctors in Bhadohi after a probe report found them guilty of the death of a woman patient without treatment at Maharaja Chet Singh district (women) hospital on August 15, HT reports.

"Orders have been given by me to suspend the two doctors responsible for the death of a woman who died due to lack of treatment in Maharaja Chet Singh District Hospital, Gyanpur Bhadohi with immediate effect," Pathak tweeted.

Medical dialogues team had earlier reported that a suspension order issued by the deputy CM of the Nalanda Medical College Medical superintendent had created a bone of contention between the government and the state Indian Medical Association branch.

During an inspection of Patna-based Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH), the deputy chief minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, who also holds the health portfolio, found gross negligence on the part of the superintendent and placed him under suspension. The minister was not satisfied with the manner in which the doctors were treating dengue patients. A number of patients and their close relatives informed him that they were not getting medicines and were asked to purchase from outside.
