Lucknow: Doctor tests positive for Coronvirus; kept at KGMU isolation ward
Lucknow: A female doctor, based out of Toronto Canada who had travelled come to India via London has now tested positive for Coronavirus
The doctor who tested positive late Wednesday night has been admitted in an isolation ward in King George's Medical University (KGMU).
According to media reports, the doctor had travelled to India on March 8. but during the thermal scanning at the Lucknow airport, she did not show any symptom of coronavirus
However, on Tuesday, she developed fever and cough and contacted the KGMU doctors.
Her blood sample reported positive result at the KGMU laboratory, and will now be sent for reconfirmation to the National Institute of Virology in Pune.
Health officials are also preparing a list of people who came in contact with her since she returned to Lucknow and have said further tests will be conducted.
Till now 10 cases have been confirmed positive of coronavirus in UP
