Mumbai: In another case of cyber fraud, a man impersonating a fake Army official had duped a female doctor of Rs 2.71 lakh on the pretext of making payments for a blood test to be conducted for 25 people.
According to the police, the doctor aged 48 has a healthcare centre at Oshiwara and was contacted by the fraudster posing as an army official seeking blood tests for 25 people.
The army official contacted the doctor on August 3 at 3:30 pm asking her whether she conducts a blood test and wanted to get a blood test for 25 people. Without thinking twice, the doctor agreed to the request and said that each test would cost Rs 2500.
