Neurologist Dr Nuthakki Srinivas elected as president of IMA Guntur
Vijayawada: In a significant appointment, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Guntur district branch has unanimously elected Dr Nuthakki Srinivas as the President of the association for the session 2024-25.
The decision was taken in the recent meeting held at the IMA hall in Guntur where the members unanimously voted for Dr Srinivas as a suitable candidate for the position.
After being elected as the president, Dr Srinivas expressed his gratitude to all members of IMA and shared his plans to develop the committee by working towards solving the problems faced by local doctors. He completed his MBBS from Guntur Medical College and specialises in neurosurgery.

Simultaneously, Dr Busireddy Narendra Reddy has been given the charge of secretary of the IMA Guntur district branch for the next academic session. He is the Chief Joint Replacement Surgeon at Sai Bhaskar Hospitals and President of Aarogyasri Network Hospitals Association of Andhra Pradesh.
Apart from this, Dr Velaga Mahesh has been selected as the vice president of the association, and Dr B. Sai Krishna is the joint secretary. Following this, the IMA district leaders congratulated the newly elected office bearers, reports DC.
Indian Medical Association is the only representative, national voluntary organisation of Doctors of Modern Scientific System of Medicine, which looks after the interest of doctors as well as the well-being of the community at large.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that the national sports meet of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), ‘Doctors Olympiad 2023’ will be held in Vijayawada from November 22 to November 26, 2023. Dr Sharad Kumar made the announcement about the Olympiad during a press conference in Vijayawada. On his visit to Andhra Pradesh, the National President of IMA also unveiled the Logo and Promo of the Olympiad and addressed the Media there. The Olympiad will include 24 games and 85 disciplines.
