Pregnant Doctor Dies in Warangal Road Accident
Warangal: In a tragic incident, a 33-year-old doctor who was nine months pregnant was killed after a speeding lorry rammed into the scooter she was riding with her husband on Hunter Road in Hanamkonda district on Monday night.
According to the news reports, the deceased was identified as Dr Sali Mamatha Rani, an assistant professor at Father Colombo Hospital. She succumbed to severe injuries while undergoing treatment at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Hospital, police officials said.

She sustained critical injuries in the impact and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Her advanced stage of pregnancy has added to the shock and grief surrounding the incident, Deccan Chronicle.
As per Telangana Today, based on a complaint by the husband, Mattewada police booked a case and took the tipper driver of Jharkhand into custody.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
