Noida: A Noida-based doctor was arrested by the police on Monday for reportedly sexually harassing a 25-year-old woman helper at his clinic and threatening to kill her if she complained.
The accused has been identified as a 55-year-old man running a private clinic in Noida.
According to the complainant, the doctor allegedly raped her on June 9 in his clinic after he gave her sleeping pills. In addition, the doctor also threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident and blackmailed her into uploading her videos on social media.

Apart from being the victim of rape, the woman was also subject to abuse and assault by the doctor's family. She informed the police that the wife and daughter of the doctor often assaulted her.
Following this, the woman lodged a complaint against the three accused at the Noida police station and an FIR was registered based on the complainant's statement. A case under sections 376 (rape), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 328 (causing hurt using poison, etc., with intent to commit an offence), 427 (mischief causing damage) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code was registered.
