PMCH, NMCH makes white aprons mandatory for doctors
Patna: In a bid to improve the healthcare system in the state-run medical colleges, all doctors of Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) and Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) have been asked to maintain a dress code of a white apron mandatory within the campus.
Doctors, including interns, postgraduate students, senior residents, assistant professors, associate professors and professors, have been directed to wear a white apron while discharging duties at OPD, wards and other places. In addition to doctors, the hospital staff will also be required to adhere to the dress code as per the direction of the medical superintendent of PMCH.

The decision came into action after Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on May 4 launched ‘Mission Parivartan’ on the lines of ‘Mission 60 Days’ to improve the health of all medical college hospitals.
The main objective of this mission is to make hospitals Patient-Friendly, to enforce discipline in colleges and to arrange treatment based on manpower. Apart from this, this mission also includes cleanliness in medical colleges, and hospitals, waiting rooms for patients and relatives to sit, installation of signages, and the establishment of 'May I Help You' desks.
