According to the news reports, the 45-year-old doctor, a resident of Echoda, allegedly harassed a woman for four months under the guise of intending to marry her. The incident came to light after the woman’s father filed a complaint with the local police.

In his complaint, Rehman stated that Asim had been harassing his daughter by making public claims about marrying her, despite her unwillingness. He said the doctor’s conduct had deeply disturbed his daughter and prevented the family from seeking a marriage alliance for her. He also accused Asim of stalking her for the past two weeks, reports the Telangana Today. Following the complaint, police took the doctor into custody. A case has been registered, and an investigation is currently underway to determine the full extent of his actions.

The victim, a recent dental graduate and a resident of Sanasandiram near Hosur, began working at the private dental clinic opposite the Hosur Government Hospital about six weeks ago. The clinic is owned by the accused, who also works as a duty doctor at another private hospital in the area.
