Roorkee: In a shocking incident, a medical officer posted at the Civil Hospital in Roorkee was caught red-handed allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 by the Vigilance Establishment team.
According to reports, the doctor, a native of Ara in Bihar, had joined the hospital earlier this month after being transferred from Mussoorie. According to the Vigilance Department, the doctor allegedly demanded Rs 30,000 from a victim of an assault case under the pretext of preparing a supplementary legal report. The victim reported the demand to the Dehradun Vigilance team, which planned a sting operation to catch the officer in the act.
