It was revealed that the doctor and the complainant, former students of a government medical college in Cuddalore district, had become friends a few years ago while pursuing their MBBS degrees. The accused doctor allegedly lured the woman into a relationship, promising marriage, and used this trust to record their phone conversations, including audio, video, and photos.
As per the TOI news report, the incident took a turn when he decided to morph the photos and videos of the woman seven months ago and upload them on social media platforms. After discovering her images online, the woman confronted the accused and asked him to delete them.
However, the accused refused to accept her request and also refused to take down the content from social media. He further escalated the situation by issuing threats to the woman. According to the complaint, he threatened to kill her by throwing acid on her face if she pursued the matter further.
Following this, the woman approached the police and filed a complaint against the accused doctor. Acting on it, the police registered a case and arrested the accused. An investigation is underway in this regard.
