Telangana: 36-year-old doctor attempts suicide, slits throat

Nirmal: In a shocking incident, a doctor allegedly committed suicide by slitting her throat at her residence in AN Reddy Colony on Monday. She is currently under treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad.  

The horrific incident was noticed by some of her neighbours who saw her in a pool of blood with her throat cut open. Taking action immediately, the neighbours rushed her to a nearby hospital. However, the doctors who provided primary care shifted her to a private hospital in Hyderabad for better treatment.

Battling for her life, her condition is in a critical stage and doctors are trying their best to cure her at the earliest. 

As per a recent media report, Telangana today reports that the doctor is a 36-year-old woman working at Balaji ENT Hospital in Nirmal and a native of Visakhapatnam.

According to the police, there is no definite reason as to why she chose to slit her throat and it is suspected that she may have taken the step due to some personal reasons. She got married 5 years ago to a man who is currently working in the United States of America.

A suicide case has been registered by the police and an investigation is underway.
