State Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha expressed satisfaction over the recruitment, noting that the appointment of new AYUSH doctors will significantly strengthen traditional and holistic medical services across the state.
Highlighting recent efforts to bolster AYUSH services, the Minister recalled that around 630 yoga instructors have already been appointed, with notifications issued for over 200 more posts. “We are committed to expanding the reach and impact of AYUSH systems in Telangana,” he said, news agency UNI reported.

Addressing the growing need for cancer treatment infrastructure, the Minister announced that cancer care services are being scaled up in response to the rising number of patients. He noted that the recruitment of 45 new Assistant Professors at MNJ Cancer Hospital will enhance the hospital’s ability to provide specialised care.
In a significant development, District Cancer Care Centres are being established in new districts, and plans are in place to set up Regional Cancer Care Centres in former district headquarters. “These initiatives will bring quality cancer care closer to people, reducing the burden on Hyderabad-based facilities,” Rajanarsimha stated.
The Minister reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring accessible and comprehensive healthcare at the grassroots level, saying, “Once the new centres are operational, patients will no longer have to travel long distances for quality treatment.”
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that in a major step toward upgrading Telangana’s healthcare infrastructure, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced the addition of nearly 7,000 beds across five upcoming government super-speciality hospitals, scheduled to be operational from December 9, 2025.
