Hyderabad: In a major crackdown on quackery in the state, the Telangana Medical Council (TSMC) has identified as many as 14 illegal clinics across Nalgonda district. These clinics were reportedly run by individuals posing as doctors without having any recognised medical qualifications.
According to TSMC officials, the fake doctors were former clinic compounders who had begun treating patients, administering injections, and prescribing potent medications—including antibiotics and steroids—despite lacking medical degrees or licenses.
