TN Health invites applications for NEET PG Admissions under management quota, Check out registration process, eligibility criteria, counselling details

Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu Health (TN Health) has begun the online application process for admission to postgraduate degree/diploma courses in management quota, including NRI of self-financing medical colleges in the 2023-2024 session.

The online application process started on 6th July 2023 and will continue till 13.07.2023 up to 5:00 PM. Expected date of declaration of rank, tentative dates for counselling, the commencement of courses, and closure of admission. The application forms are available at www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in/ www.tnmedicalselection.org. Candidates are advised to submit only one application.

Application fee –

At the time of application, all candidates must pay the application fee of Rs.5000/- (Non – refundable).

Registration fee –

At the time of registration, all candidates must pay the following fee: A non-refundable processing fee of Rs.1000/-.

Security deposit –

1. For Management Quota in Self-Financing Medical Colleges –Rs.200000

2. Security Deposit will be refunded to the candidates who could not get any seat in any phase of counselling within three months after the end of the entire counselling process. No interest amount for the security deposit will be paid to the candidates.

3. Security Deposit will not be refunded to the candidates, as specified in clause 27 vii (b) in the prospectus.

4. The transfer process of the security deposit to the candidates will be initiated after the completion of the counselling process and receipt of the complete data needed for transfer.

All admissions and resignations (if provided) will be made through online mode. Any admission or resignation taken in offline mode will not be accepted.

The documents to be uploaded –

1. NEET PG 2023-Score Card and NEET PG 2023 Admit Card.

2. MBBS Degree Certificate and Diploma Certificate or Provisional Pass Certificate.

3. CRMI Completion Certificate.

4. Permanent or provisional Medical Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India /State Medical Council

5. Community Certificate issued by the Competent authority indicating the Community status of candidates belonging to Backward Community / Backward Community( Muslim) / Most Backward Community/ Denotified Communities/ Schedule Caste/ Schedule Caste (Arunthathiyar). Scheduled Tribe candidates should produce community certificates issued by a Revenue Divisional Officer of the competent jurisdiction.

6. To upload the eligibility certificate obtained from the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University Guindy Chennai 32. (Only for the candidates who have qualified from other Universities).

7. Clearly visible copy of the Aadhar Card is to be uploaded; if not available, a copy of the PAN card/voter card/driving license is to be uploaded.

8. Same photo that was uploaded in NEET PG 2023 must be uploaded in the filled-in online application.

9. Post Card size color photograph (4”x6”) (size: 50kb to 300kb) to be uploaded.

10. Minority certificate (if Applicable)

Eligibility –

1. Candidates should be a Citizen of India.

2. Candidates seeking admission must qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-NEETPG 2023 conducted by the National Board of Examination.

3. Candidates who have cleared their MBBS Examination and completed/completed the CRMI period on or before 12.08.2023 are only eligible to apply. However, the candidates should possess the Permanent Medical Council Registration Certificate of the States or of India or the provisional Registration Certificate of the Medical Council at the time of Counselling.

4. Candidates should possess an MBBS Degree awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University or any other University recognized by the Medical Council of India, and the candidates who have qualified from other Universities, should produce an eligibility certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R. Medical University, Guindy, Chennai-600032atthetimeofcertificateverification.

5. Candidates completing their Diploma courses before 31.03.2023 are eligible to apply for Post Graduate Degree Courses in the same academic year of 2023-2024.

The following guidelines shall be followed regarding admission to Post Graduate Degree/Diploma Courses under NRI quota in Self Financing Medical Colleges 2023-2024 session –

Candidates should be of Indian Origin and settled in foreign countries.

OR

Candidates who were born in foreign countries and whose parents are of Indian Origin.

OR

Children of Indian citizens whose parents stay abroad for employment, business

OR

Children of Indian citizens whose parents are deputed abroad by the Public Sector Undertaking

OR

Children of the Official of the Central/State Government on deputation abroad

The candidates seeking admission to NRI Quota should have a valid Indian passport.

Admission under the Non-Resident of India scheme may be made based on the marks obtained in the Qualifying Examination as prescribed.

The seats under the NRI quota should be utilized by the bonafide NRIs only and for their children or wards. Therefore, the NRI financially supporting the candidates should either be the parent (Father or Mother) of the candidate or the spouse or the blood relatives of the candidates or legally declared as guardian of the candidate by the Court as per provisions in “The Guardians and Wards Act 1890”.

Candidates applying under the “NRI” quota should upload the following documents -

1. NRI status of the financial supporter issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country under their seal.

2. Certificate of Relationship between the NRI financial supporter and the candidate issued by the competent authority and valid Indian Passport of the NRI financial supporter.

3. NRE (Non-Resident External) Bank Account Pass Book of the financial supporter.

4. Evidence for payment of Development charges of US $1000/- to the college by the NRI financial supporter (One-time payment at the time of admission only).

Non-eligibility –

1. Candidates who have joined the Post Graduate Degree / Diploma course in any Branch and who have discontinued the course on any grounds on or after the second round counselling as per the guidelines of the National Medical Commission the candidates shall be considered as discontinued and should pay the Discontinuation fee as per clause 25 (b) of this prospectus.

2. The candidates who have downloaded allotment orders for PG Degree / Diploma courses in any branch in the second round of counselling must join the courses. If not, he/she shall be considered as discontinued and should pay the discontinuation fee as per clause 25(b) of this prospectus.

3. Candidates who are undergoing a Postgraduate Degree /DNB/ Equivalent / Diploma courses are not eligible to apply for any Post Graduate Degree /Diploma Courses.

4. Candidates who have already completed a Post Graduate Degree / DNB / Equivalent Course are not eligible to apply for admission to any other Post Graduate Degree /Diploma Courses.

5. A candidate who is already a Diploma holder is not eligible to apply for another Diploma course but can apply for any Post Graduate Degree Course.

Duration –

The duration of Post Graduate Degree Courses is three years whereas the duration of Post Graduate Degree Courses for the Diploma Candidates who have undergone two-year courses shall be Two years in the same Specialty and three years in other specialities.

Rank list –

The rank list will be drawn based on marks obtained in NEET PG 2023.

The selection committee will publish the tentative Rank List on the following official websites after completion of scrutiny of all applications received for this academic year 2023-2024 www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in/ www.tnmedicalselection.org.

Counselling procedure –

1. There are four rounds of counselling i.e., Round -1, Round -2, Mop-up, and Stray round.

2. Mutual transfer/ Individual request for transfer of college will not be permitted under any circumstance.

3. Admission to PG Degree / Diploma courses shall be made through online counselling.

4. A candidate who has not registered and is not choice locked in the 1st round of online counselling will be permitted to attend the subsequent rounds of online counselling.

5. A candidate who has taken a seat and not joined /resigned from the course within the stipulated time in the first round of online counselling, he/she is eligible to attend the second round of online counselling.

6. Re-allotment is permitted during the second round of counselling only.

7. Candidates selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of reporting to the concerned Medical College that He/ She is liable for forfeiture of selection/admission if suppression of facts or misinterpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.

8. If any suppression of facts is found later, the selection/admission will be liable for cancellation during or after the admission to the course based on the declaration.

9. The tuition fee paid when downloading the provisional allotment order is not-refundable if the candidate discontinues the course beyond the resignation period as stipulated by the state selection committee.

10. The State Quota candidates who joined and discontinued the course after the resignation period as stipulated by the selection committee should pay the Discontinuation Fees besides foregoing tuition fees already paid by them as specified below to the Deans of the respective Colleges, the sum as specified below in total by means of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai– 10”, payable at Chennai.

Method of selection and admission –

1. Management Quota Seats in Self-Financing Medical Colleges: Seat sharing with Self-Financing Minority and Non-Minority Colleges will be as per State Policy and MCI Post Graduate Medical Education Regulation, 2000 and applicable Court Orders.

2. Among seats under Management Quota, up to 15% of the total sanctioned seat will be allotted for NRI Quota. Vide Supreme Court of India civil appeal No.3345/2020 with 3346 -3348/2020,3349/2020,3350/20203351-3352/2020 order dated 9.1.2020 Nilay Gupta Vs. Chairman NEET PG Medical and Dental admission/ counselling Board2020 and Principal Government Dental College &Ors.

3. Unfilled seats of the NRI Quota will be reverted to Management Quota.

4. Allotment will be made only for the seats affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University for the Academic Year 2023-2024 session. Seats approved by the respective University for P.G. Degree/Diploma courses for2023-2024 session will be displayed before the counselling.
