UP: BAMS doctor arrested for killing doctor wife, cremating body nearly 400 km away
Lakhimpur: In a shocking incident, an Ayurveda doctor has been arrested for allegedly murdering and cremating the body of his wife, also a doctor to conceal the crime. Moreover, the police have also detained the doctor's father in relation to the murder case.
The 34-year-old doctor's wife who had gone missing on November 26, was finally found after the doctor confessed his crime while getting interrogated by the police.
The incident took place in UP's Lakhimpur Kheri district on November 26 when the doctor murdered his wife and in order to keep the police from suspecting him, he filed a missing complaint at the police station.
The couple used to run a hospital in the district. The accused and his wife both were BAMS degree holders and had been running Gauri Hospital on Sitapur Road.
On the same day, the accused locked the dead body in a suitcase and went to their clinic in Gauri Chikitsalaya and called an ambulance and cremated the body nearly 400 km away in Garh Mukteshwar, Arun Kumar Singh, ASP, Kheri informed NDTV
