Woman poses as AIIMS Delhi Cardiologist, dupes IT professional with promise of marriage
Fake doctor
Patna: In a fraud case reported in the city, a woman pretending to be a cardiologist from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi has been arrested for allegedly trying to steal gold jewellery and other valuable items from a senior IT professional on the pretext of marriage.
According to the police, the woman also claimed that she had cleared UPSC’s civil services examination and proposed to the IT professional, Ravi Ranjan of Ganga Vihar, for marriage after befriending him on social media.
The accused befriended Ravi through a social media platform six months ago. Posing as a doctor, she gradually built a close relationship with him. During their conversations, she claimed to have cleared the prestigious UPSC civil services exam, even sharing a fake newspaper clipping to prove her claim.
