Yatri Doctor in spotlight over Jyoti Malhotra spy case, denies any involvement
New Delhi: Navankur Chaudhary, popularly known as Yatri Doctor, is a well-known travel vlogger who has visited many countries and shares his journeys on YouTube and Instagram. Recently, his name came into the spotlight after a photo of him with an arrested spy suspect started circulating online.
The controversy began following the arrest of fellow YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who was accused of spying for Pakistan and allegedly sharing sensitive Indian military information with Pakistan authorities.
Soon after, a photo of her with Yatri Doctor at the Pakistan High Commission went viral. This raised questions and suspicions about Yatri Doctor’s possible connection with the case.

Apart from the photo, an old video of Yatri Doctor attending an event at the Pakistan High Commission also went viral on social media after users began digging deeper into the matter. In the video, he was seen criticising a BSF jawan and allegedly showing an incorrect map of India.
Following this, social media users used these clips as alleged proof of his connection to Pakistan and accused the doctor-turned-travel vlogger of being a Pakistani spy, NDTV reports.
However, the doctor strongly denied the allegations in a video statement shared on Instagram, claiming it was a 'fake narrative' created against him.
He said in the video that he met Jyoti Malhotra only once when she approached him as a fan, and he had also visited Pakistan only once as part of his mission to travel to all 197 countries. He said that as of now, he had travelled to 144 countries.
"I treated her like a fan. I can’t look inside a person to see what they are. Before that day, I did not know Jyoti personally. We had never met before. On that day, too, we only spoke for a bit about YouTube," said the doctor.
Further, Dr Chaudhary firmly stated that "I had always been proud of my Indian roots. Several members of my family have served in the armed forces."
He also said that no investigation has been launched against him, and no agency has contacted him or his family. Yatri Doctor said he is ready to fully cooperate with any investigation if needed. He urged his followers not to spread false news or jump to conclusions without facts.
