Manipur: Govt. Increases Hospitalization benefits from Rs.2 lakh to Rs.5 lakh per family per year
Imphal: The Manipur State Government has decided to increase the free hospitalization benefit under the Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) schemes upto five lakh rupees per family per year. The Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) scheme is a health assurance scheme initiated by the Government of India.
The Scheme provides cashless treatment to the poor who are beneficiaries of the scheme at the empanelled hospital. Earlier, the scheme cover upto two lakh rupees per eligible family per year which has been increased to five lakh rupees.
Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh today made an official announcement to increase the free hospitalization benefit under the scheme at a press meet held at the Chief Minister's Secretariat. He said that the State Cabinet had decided to increase the benefit amount considering the success of the CMHT scheme in the past four years and its benefit to poor and vulnerable families of the state.
