2 Pune Hospitals receive threat emails

Cyber Fraud
Pune: Two hospitals in Pune were the target of alarming threat emails on Friday, prompting swift police responses and heightened security measures. Separate cases have been registered at the Baner and Samarth police stations against a Bengaluru-based man suspected of sending the emails.
According to police officials, the emails—received by hospitals located in Baner and Rasta Peth contained a chilling message: “We will sacrifice patients' life to provide justice to rape victim in Hyd.” The identical emails sparked fear among hospital staff, prompting immediate searches by the bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) and dog squad units.
