AIIMS Delhi, IIT Bhubaneswar launch initiative to revolutionise medical training

The first initiative, AASHA–HOPE (Manasa Santulan), will focus on training postgraduate doctors in mental health through advanced, AI-driven habit-building tools. These tools are designed to enhance both clinical practice and self-care among medical professionals, news agency UNI reported.

The second project, Everyday Hero – Gamification of Training for Healthcare Workers, will use gamification techniques to make medical training more engaging, practical, and outcome-oriented. 

Both projects will be implemented with the support of domain experts from IIT Bhubaneswar REP, in collaboration with Thinkspace Edutech.

These initiatives are expected to benefit all AIIMS campuses and over 75,000 postgraduate doctors across the country, marking a significant step toward strengthening India’s healthcare workforce and fostering innovation in medical education. 

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the All India Institute of Medical Sciences has introduced a free therapeutic drug monitoring test for patients with epilepsy from January 1, significantly reducing the need for testing at private laboratories, the institute said. Epilepsy is a chronic brain disorder causing recurrent seizures, which are sudden bursts of abnormal electrical activity, leading to symptoms like muscle jerking, confusion, loss of awareness, or psychological changes.  

In a statement, AIIMS explained that the drug monitoring test will measure the concentration of specific medications in a patient’s blood. This will ensure the dosage is both safe and effective.
