New Delhi: The center-run Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital in Delhi has directed all its staff, including doctors and contractual staff, to mark their attendance on the Aadhar Enable Biometric Attendance System(AEBAS) mandatorily in order to avoid being marked 'absent' from duty.

In a recent circular issued by the Deputy Director (Admn.) R B Kushwaha of the RML hospital, the administration has warned that the issue was viewed seriously by the competent authority.

It has been observed that some doctors, nurses and hospital officials, including the contractual staff were not marking their attendance and disregarding institute instructions.

"It has been noticed by the competent authority that some officers/nursing staff/officials of the hospital, including contractual staff, are not marking their attendance in the Aadhar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS). The competent authority has viewed it seriously," reads the official circular.

Following this, the administration has warned the doctors and other staff that they will be marked absent if they fail to mark their attendance on AEBAS after getting the circular. Therefore, directed all of them to follow the instructions to avoid such consequences.

All officers/Nursing staff/officials of the hospital including contractual staff are hereby directed to mark their attendance in the Aadhar Enable Biometric Attendance System(AEBAS), otherwise the concerned officer/Nursing staff/official including contractual staff will be treated '' absent'' from duty, stated the circular.

"In case, any officer/official/JR/SR/contractual staff is not enrolled in… AEBAS, they must make a request through their officer 1/c/assistant nursing superintendent to I/C e-governance to enrol them in AEBAS at the earliest," adds the circular.

Earlier, a circular related to biometric attendance had also been issued by the hospital administration in November warning the doctors to mark their attendance on AEBAS in order to avoid strict action taken by the authorities by giving 3 days time to enroll on AEBAS those who have not enrolled in the past.
