When his family members heard his shout, they rushed to the spot to rescue him and admitted him to the private hospital, but unfortunately, he died during treatment, TN reports.

Following this, a huge crowd, including his family members and neighbours protested outside the hospital, demanding action against the hospital’s negligence.

They alleged that the oxygen cylinders placed in front of the hospital were kept irresponsibly and that an unfortunate incident could occur within seconds.

Similarly, they refused to take possession of the body until a case was registered against the hospital manager by the police.

Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that tension ensued between the family of a seven-year-old boy who was in a state of coma after undergoing surgery, and the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital (KDAH) after the family alleged that the hospital authorities were trying to forcefully discharge him.

The boy, Ansel Chettiar, had undergone a minor surgery, orchiopexy, for undescended testicles ten months back on November 3, 2021, in the Andheri West hospital and hasn't regained consciousness yet. He had developed swelling in the brain and other complications after the surgery, following which brain surgery was performed on him on November 8, 2021. Holding the doctors responsible for the boy's condition, the family members alleged that the hospital shifted him to an ambulance parked in the basement and tried to discharge him forcefully.
