When the family took the child to Safdarjung hospital, he was denied admission as no beds were available. Following this, they went to major hospitals like Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (RML) and Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital (GB Pant) who also denied admissions, reports Zee Tv

The family stated that they finally managed to arrange a bed for their son at LNJP Hospital, following which an operation was performed on the boy the next morning. However, hours after the surgery, the child eventually passed away on Saturday evening.

Upon inquiry by the father at the school, the boy's classmates told him that a teacher had allegedly beaten him with a cane. The father observed that injury marks were visible on his chest, thighs, shoulder, and back. The teacher had allegedly hit the child on the hands with a stick three times for failing in a class test. However, the boy fell down and began vomiting after he was beaten. He later became unconscious.

It was then that the father received a call from the school, just before it was about to get over where he was informed that his child had fallen unconscious, after which he rushed to the school.
