New Delhi: Appreciating the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi for its exceptional contribution to Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission, the National Health Authority (NHA) has honoured the institute with an award for “Top facility" in the generation of the highest number of ABHA Scan and Share tokens from its inception till date. 

The government of India's Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission, which is a leap forward for achieving inclusive healthcare delivery even to the remote and marginalized communities, celebrated its second anniversary with the institution of the Arogya Manthan platform at the Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi on Monday.

AIIMS, New Delhi has contributed significantly to the cause of ABDM by generating 6 lakh scan and share tokens till date. This makes AIIMS the forerunner in scan and share generation all over India.

This award was presented by MOS for Health, SP Singh Baghel to M Srinivas on 25th September 2023 at the inaugural ceremony of Arogya Manthan 2023 organized by the NHA.

This recognition underscores AIIMS’ pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare. These achievements stand as testimony to its unwavering dedication in advancing healthcare technology and improving patient healthcare.

Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Prof S P Singh Baghel said that over its 68 years of existence, AIIMS has truly lived up to its reputation as the premiere healthcare institution of the country. Today even a child in any village in India has heard the name AIIMS.

Baghel was speaking at the 68th Foundation Day celebrations of AIIMS, New Delhi where he expressed happiness over AIIMS New Delhi being ranked number one for the sixth consecutive time among medical institutions as per the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) issued by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, added the statement. 

He stated that AIIMS has already become a brand today with its reputation spread across the country. He encouraged the AIIMS officials to maintain this image and take the brand of AIIMS to greater heights.
